Premium natural products
The products offered here are along the lines of using minimal premium natural products to help prevent harm, restore healthy functioning, and encourage the overall wellness of ourselves, our children, and our pets, as well as the world in which we live.
Excluding all irritants reduces the possibility of skin reactions and their function is to be therapeutic, reparative and glorious to have on your skin, especially if it’s damaged, inflamed, sore or needs care.
The idea is to scale back on the vast amount of ingredients frequently found in skincare and to seek out clean, pure and nutrient-filled products. As with most things, a term has been devised for this – skinimalism.
These products are potent, pure and concentrated. They have no fillers or less expensive oils making up the majority of the product, allowing them to be so powerful. This also means that only small amounts are needed so they last a long time.
Although not labelled as an organic range the majority of the ingredients are, and all are sourced from highly respected suppliers ensuring their purity and origin.
There are so many obvious and hidden allergens, chemicals, preservatives and ingredients in our body care products. These will, and do, impact not only our skin but our level of wellness as a whole. It’s easy to underestimate or ignore the importance of our skin, not for beauty reasons but because it is the body’s biggest organ, it absorbs whatever is put on it, it helps to eliminate toxins and it reacts to the environment. It is the barrier between the outside and what can penetrate so it holds together our organs, muscles and skeleton, and it helps protect us from bacteria or organisms that want to penetrate deeper
This work is an extension of the psychological and integrated work I’ve done as a consultant clinical psychologist where I’ve seen the importance of approaching issues from both a physical and a psychological angle as the one impacts the other. This is a new venture which I hope will take you a step further along the line of choosing experiences, big and small, that benefit you in a positive way.
Every product is made by hand and in small batches so there will be slight variations, uneven tops or minor differences from what you would get with a factory, machine-generated product. This is all part of the charm. They may change consistency if left in the sun or a cold room.
These magnificent ingredients come predominantly from seeds, except for the butters and wax, which are the ultimate powerhouses of nutrients and life-generating components as they are the core of the next generation of the plant, tree, fruit or flower.
As there is no water in these products they are highly concentrated and therefore take time to absorb into the skin, particularly our oil products. These products must be given time to absorb otherwise they can stain materials. However, their colours are testament to their remarkable healing fractions (their goodness). As there are no essential oils or fragrances added to the products (except one), their aromas are more earthy or neutral.
